WE MUST SUPPLY ESSENTIAL DRUGS TO IRAN.

So far our government has been with the US sanction of Iran but it is high time we changed our priorities, and start to do full fledged business with Iran. They have been doing business with India thousands of years prior to US ever came in to being a country. What logic is followed by our government even after the latest hypocritical actions unbecoming of an ally or friend by US.

I feel it is necessary to immediately start supply of  life saving drugs, which are  manufactured in India itself ,while we get the benefit of oil supply from Iran.It will be beneficial to both countries. That is the way forward as we are spending most of our funds in oil thereby bringing hardship to our population, and still be with US who too are dependent on India for their survival. For instance without Indian work force it will be impossible for US to run their country effectively.Bearing that bare thought we have to look for more co operation with middle east and China,as Chinese never directly engaged in terrorism, but do supply arms to the groups who are indulging in terrorists activities. The US on the other hand also does arms trading and cheated us all along.

I feel it is high time our think tank realize, the importance of friendship with China as well and become the center of trade of more than 50% of the total trade in the whole world, which was so, till about 300 years back. Now we too have the technology and skilled man power more than any other country. We have to make use of that sheer numbers available and nothing should stop us from achieving our goals.

Truth behind David Coleman Headly's activities.

You  don't have to be the World Chess Champion to see through the man mentioned above. He was clearly a double agent working for the US and Lashker terrorists.Had US wanted they could have avoided Mumbai terrorists attack,my intuition tells me that US was playing along only trying to safeguard their interests. A few Indians dead was of not much concern for them.Unfortunately for them US citizens too were killed in the attack. That is the reason for their Mouse & Cat play to cover up their complicity of pretending innocence.

It is there for all to see the fact, that he was never allowed to be put on trail in Indian Courts because the crime the guy did was in India and we must have been able to interrogate him and bring out real facts behind the larger conspiracy, to get more details of the truths of  the Camps and more important information useful for our counter terrorism mechanism. One wonders whether there is any treaty to extradite criminals whose activities kills hundreds in a  particular country, yet does not get a chance to prove the truth in front of their countrymen. The Indian prime minister has been very much vocal of the double taxation treaties the reason why he could not bring home the black money deposited in Tax havens, but is silent on any treaty which may exists between India and US in extradition of terrorists who commits criminal acts killing hundreds.  This is grossly unfair and should be condemned by all countries such as Denmark as well, who too suffered due to the acts of the same guy.

Rahuls' sincerity comes to the fore.Silver line and hope for Indians

At last the prince has spoken with sincerity and emotion proving the real man behind is trying to do his best.I liked his way, of perhaps going away from the script, to speak his mind and thoughts openly.Seems like a person who has experienced pain and anguish almost all his boyhood and later. the hesitant politician exactly like his father, who too was hesitant but for the compulsions he faced. He did a great job for a person who was not considered a seasoned politician, but had his foresightedness and intelligence.

As Indians we look for a hero to save us from all the trouble, perhaps Rahul might prove to be that change. But he has to overhaul the big machine called Congress, the corrupt cronies has to be distanced first but very diplomatically , as those corrupt bigwigs might prove to be his danger in the days ahead. One has to be brave but not a foolish one at that, his fathers' undoing was he was so brave and stretched his luck too far even after he was warned of the dangers lurking in every corner. Rajiv's advisers let him down by not guiding him in the right direction.

Rahul has a great chance if the inner fight in the opposition is spoiling the chances for any alternative government other than the Congress. He is popular and is a known face all over the country. He may get absolute majority if he can prove he means business,by dumping those corrupt elements one by one in the next one year, once people are convinced he is delivering they might give him a big chance to push India forward. I would suggest that he studies the Koudilya's ARTH SHASTRA [Chanakya's Management style]

We Indians are feeling so disillusioned by the present system and leaders. We want change, a big one at that.
May lord bless Rahul and India. So much damage has been done by the government mostly after the UPA-1,which had the backing of CPM & CPI,.As the saying goes you are judged by the company you keep.Present day UPA consist mostly self serving parties and individuals. That according to me is the greatest curse of India otherwise a great country.

High time for food security Act. for all in the universe.

25 Pct Population Hungry in India Even With Excess Grain Stock

By SiliconIndia  |   Monday, 21 January 2013, 07:43 IST   |    1 Comments

Bangalore: India has constantly been in global surveys reporting the drastic malnutrition rate in the country. However, a recent record on the food grain stock in the country has presented a different picture. It shows that the government of India is pilling up one of the world’s largest stockpiles of food grains amounting to around 667 lakh tonnes, as of January 2013.  This is much higher than the government's rule of stocking up buffer stock of 200 lakh tonnes and a strategic reserve of 50 lakh tonnes, which must be maintained in a year,  reported Subodh Varma for TNN.

Apart from the 667 lakh tonnes of food grain stocked up last year, what comes as a surprise is that the monthly stock of food grains averaged over 671 lakh tonnes for the entire term. It raised to the highest in June 2012 with 802 lakh tonnes in stock.  Only in 2008 the food grain reserve was estimated to be 192 lakh tonnes, which was below the expected level. Since then it has consistently increased from about 250 percent to the current level. It has reached a level where the current stocks are more than two and a half times above the set benchmark.

Unfortunately even with the high stock of food grains stacked up in the country, there are a large number of people suffering from hunger and malnutrition. It currently huants a quarter of the population with malnutriton concerns, which includes over 200 million people as estimated by various international studies. India ranked 65th among 79 countries in the report prepared by the International Food Policy Research Institute reflecting a seriously high hunger and malnutrition level last year. India ranked below Niger, Nepal, Ethiopia and Bangladesh with 43 percent children suffering with malnutrition.

Farmers & SSIs in distress, need for sympathetic consideration.

It all began with the dip in the rainfall this year, directly effecting the poor farmers. The big and mighty could afford tube well .The small and marginal farmers are in ruins covering almost the entire country. Now is the time for the government to help them with finance. Likewise due to the mighty rate of inflation  witnessed  during the last 5 years, our country is going through one of the worst ever phase in the history of modern India.

Our politicians has been the single factor which did let us down to such an extent never witnessed before in our long and most cherished history. We need at least another decade of spotless and honest governance to rise to the top as a country and society which is secular and loving all human beings equally well. Our tropical forests along with the animals, birds and most importantly our tribal folks all require our compassion and help to go through these hard times.

Small farmers and Small scale industries are suffering due to the lull in the whole world,  lack of purchasing power & the economic power houses are now struggling to survive. The so called developed countries are now falling like never before. These are all part of the cycle of events which takes place as a routine from the time our world began. All fortune will change hands in almost every 75 years. The rich will become poor and the poor will get an opportunity and will be rich.these are ever changing scenarios from which no human being is immune. There are mighty rich guys who may feel that they will never be poor again, but the KARMA will decide who wins or loses ultimately.

The sinners will have to endure the punishment meted out by the lord for all their sins, until then they may have to live to pay back or in some cases generations will be affected due to the sins committed by their forefathers. These are the truths of the nature and those who observe families around them will find that the good deeds done will earn gods' favour while the bad deeds will earn them immeasurable hardship, the sad part is that people don't understand these simple truths and indulges in all kind of bad deeds.

A tree of solace for cancer patients
Author: Reema Narendran | ENS

Paradise tree, a native of South and Central America and now grown
widely in Karnataka, is fast becoming a tree of solace for many cancer
patients in the state. The decoction of leaves is being used as a
complement to chemotherapy, with patients vouching that it drastically
improves the quality of life and even cure the cancer.
The leaves
are sourced from Bangalore, where two retired agricultural scientists,
Syamasundar Joshi and Shantha Joshi, are engaged in popularising this
tree and the decoction. They do it without taking any money, charging
patients only labour cost.
“We just want people to grow this tree. It is like taking health insurance,’’ said 73-year-old Syamsundar
Joshi. The scientist duo said that the tree was originally brought to
India to tide over the edible oil crisis. They noticed the plant was
anti-bacterial, anti-tumorous and was good for gynaecological problems.
It was effective for cancer patients and the scientist couple found that
the decoction could also bring down side effects of chemotherapy,
minimise appetite loss and ensure fast recovery.
Shyla Ramdas of
Vazhuthacaud here, who had heard about this decoction, was at first
hesitant to give it to her husband, a stage-four cancer patient, who had malignancy in and around his intestine.
“The doctors were not
very hopeful about his case and he kept on losing weight. But once he
started taking this decoction, he was much healthier, driving the car
and generally managing on his own. He even gained back the weight he had lost,’’ said Shyla.
Scientifically, validations are yet to come
but isolated studies have shown that several compounds such as the
quassinoids in Simarouba has anti-tumour and anti-leukemic (against
blood cancer) action.  Glaucarubinone, one such compound, has been found to have activity against drug-resistant mammary tumours in mice and
anti-leukemic activity, again in mice. It has also been found to improve mitochondrial metabolism and extend lifespan in the nematode,
Caenohabditis elegans.
Most patients that ‘Express’ talked to were willing to let chemotherapy or surgery take credit for their recovery,
but in their hearts, believed that it was the Simarouba leaves that made them better. Simarouba glauca is the scientific name of the tree, the
local one being ‘Lakshmitaru.’ The leaves are considered to be very
effective in curing cancer of first and second stages, whereas in later
stages, improvement in quality of life is what is expected. But for
Lakshmidevi Pillai of Thrissur, who was suffering with an ovarian cancer that had spread to kidney and intestine, these leaves seemed to have
worked.
‘’I had to undergo several rounds of chemotherapy and
surgery, but on my last check-up date on October 28, they said
everything was fine with me. I continue to drink the decoction,’’ said
Shyla, who got her treatment in Gujarat, where her husband worked. Many
of the patients, like Pearly Karun of Vazhuthacaud, came to know of
these leaves from friends or relatives.
Pearly, whose malignancy had spread from the uterus to the lung, still had a 0.4 cm big tumour even after her chemotherapy.
“I used to feel drained but after starting on this decoction, my fatigue
just disappeared. My stamina increased and I have become at least ten
times more active now. I am sure that whatever is left of my tumour,
will go away,” Pearly sounds confident.

Time ripe for change of guard in India.

Our population of about 1.2 billion has been searching for an alternate from the present government at the helm. to lead India to the top economically and with  ideas for uplifting the mass percentage under the poverty level. Now the emergence of the Narendra modi ,with a win , convincingly yet again might be the right choice for a corrupt free governance with meaningful development along with a clear cut vision for the future of our great country.

The people are sick and tired of the same old guys looting in open day light with out an iota of guilty feeling. And yet the prime minister keeps  repeating he is honest.Does he really understand the meaning of being honest.

Control the urges of your senses for a happy life.

Spiritual life begins when we can control our minds. Ordinarily the mind of a conditioned soul in the material world is completely out of control. For most people, rather than their mind being controlled their minds become servants of their senses. For example if one is walking down a street and sees or smells some very nice food then the tongue is sending messages to the mind telling it that it wants that food to satisfy the sense of taste. So the person, controlled by the urges of the senses, purchases that food and eats it to try and satisfy the whims of the tongue. In the same way all the senses of the body are demanding the mind to supply their particular objects of gratification so the person is actually out of control. He simply becomes a servant of his senses, trying to satisfy their every whim, but the cruel nature of the material world is that no matter what he supplies in an attempt to satisfy his senses they will never be satisfied. They will always demand more, more, more...

How do we deal with rape culture?

It was one of the saddest days in the history of modern India that an helpless girl was brutally and most barbarically raped and tortured to death by some anti social elements. The first instinct for all will be to shoot the guys point blank. But wait, we have to come out with a mechanism to deal with these guys or for that matter those Pakisthan soldiers who mutilated the dead bodies of our Soldiers in a worse manner than those most deadly animals would to their preys.

To start with all those MPs, MLAs and ministers who are accused of rape should be stripped of their positions before the law takes their cases. The fact that they are being protected and immunized is the worst sign which means the rulers are not serious in dealing with them.It is the truth that our political parties have always turned a blind eye towards such incidents, that was the main reason for the public uprising we witnessed

Secondly there should be separate fast track mechanism to deal with domestic violence, whether our police has the will and honesty to pursue these cases is the million dollar question.Time bound trail and verdict should deter at least some percent of these culprits.

Thirdly, Our folks especially men are becoming mute onlookers , even when they witness crime in front of their eyes,no body wants trouble,or rather are being very selfish in not reacting, if not alone, at least together with friends.I had an experience in Guwahati during the late Eighties, when my Nepali friend named Basu Gurung and myself was coming to our place of stay at about 2am from the Railway station, when we witnessed a lady being beaten up by a rough thug,to my surprise ,though my friend was only 5ft.or little more perhaps ,but was very quick to react and easily kicked the thug down in minutes while he asked the girl to run and escape, which she did without wasting a second. That kind of attitude is required for the men in our society, only then can we protect our own sisters, wives, mothers and daughters.
