GODS' CHESS GAMES

CHECK AND MATE.

Anand has proved beyond doubt that he is the best years ago itself but more so now and has brought home the trophy of Chess to the country where it belongs as a matter of rightful ownership and by doing this he has matched and out witted almost all his rivals thereby, honouring the place of birth of modern chess.

It was never a matter of doubt that we have the best brains in the world, the nature of Indians was whether we want to win over. I would rather lose in chess and earn a friend in exchange for a place of glory in a game. This attitude is the best asset we have than the so called ‘killer instincts’ of Europeans or for that matter Mongolians or Africans etc.

Off late we too have started to clone, to my surprise, and can see that youngsters of our era were different than now. I deeply respected the sportsmanship shown by our great batsman G.R.Viswanath, who was a delight to the connoisseurs of great batsman ship during his days and had asked a batsman given out by the umpire to stay on and play when clearly it was easier to let him go out, so as to easily win a game. But the act must have surprised many great cricketers but as Indians it is in fact of credit to see justful nice guys who don’t want to harm any one be it be his foe in sports or in real life. That perhaps was our greatest undoing as was seen in recent history.

I have no doubt whatsoever that people with such quality as ‘killer instincts’ are the ones who are most barbaric than any in the world this fact can be proved from our history.

If one analyses they can see that good cultured people seldom kills be it for any purpose or revenge the act in itself is barbaric. What the white man did as routine in recent history of last one hundred years itself is so unpardonable crimes on people who are now addicted to destruction and negative ness in majority while, the number of decent guys are shrinking day by day.
