BAILING OUT THE RICH ALONE

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE MADE MANDATORY.

Big corporate houses making millions of dollars, year after year as a result of the hard work and sincerity of its employees conveniently forget about the fate of the employees. It has been happening for years the government has no policy in place to ensure fair deal to the millions of private owned employees whose job is at the mercy of some guy or the other. They can chuck out overnight and the government is a mute spectator. The companies them selves ideally should have a mechanism of taking their employees retirement benefits. But astonishingly our country just doesn’t have a policy for the chucked employees at whims and fancy of the private individuals like our kingfisher owner Mr.Mallaya, for him, what ever be the cost without profit he don’t even say halo. It can be termed akin to a person who deals with dead bodies starts to kill for more bodies and more profits. Who teaches such barbaric business, and surprisingly majority of the people actually wants to be like that. You can call it ruthless instincts. I term such people sick in mind, snobbish and deserve no mercy from the god.

I am a strong believer that whoever commits sin is bound to get punished as well. These days god’s answer is instant and makes mighty arrogant and barbaric guys have all got what they deserved , as can be vouched by the latest woes of all the so called developed [perhaps developing towards dooms day]mighty rich nations have all got hit where it hurts most. At least at this juncture let them think and realize their sins and mistakes.

It must be legally binding on all employers to give a fair share for their employees, for this they must be made to deposit as a reserve with the government during the years they are in business. At no point of time should the employee be allowed to be treated shabbily as it affects full family when the head loses the job. It is the responsibility of the employer to have reserve funds to take their employees through lean patches. My wife was employed as an electronics engineer for a top textile machinery manufacturing company who chucked her out overnight, and the term used by them was VRS but in real it was compulsory retirement only when she was in her thirties and had overlooked government jobs trusting the company but to her dismay she was told one afternoon to stop coming so mercilessly leaving an electronics engineer dry and out without much of a chance for an alternate job as her age too had gone above 30. But due to my employment with a PSU, we could tide over the bad phase. But that was not the case with many and so many families have perished during the late nineties lull period, when about 250 textile mills were closed in Coimbatore city alone.

Why are our politicians silent on these serious issues. We must have a regulation in place for all and sundry to follow with fair intentions alone. In ninety nine out of hundred cases the employer is the one pampered and helped by various Governments including US. The poor employees who lost their life are no concern for all the governments. The compensation and 700 billion infused by US is meant for the greedy rich who were the culprits in the first place, and not those who lost their jobs. What an irony?
